Theorical aspectsThe sporadic presence of siblings, a brother or a sister can offer the following possibilities:
make the sibling aware of the activities of the other, and of the music therapy setting;
involve the sibling in the activities adjusting them so that both can gain some benefit;
show that the handicapped sibling has “normal” aspects which allow him to play and to act like a child;
allow the sibling to ask questions, doubts or something else;
reveal the true meaning of “music therapy” so that any kind of mystery can disappear;
help the setting up of a happy environment where two siblings, who usually do not play together at home, can do it here;
clearly communicate to the “brother/sister” that we do not have any kind of preference.
